I live in a city where housing prices are absurd. Most young people rent small, temporary spaces. According to statistics, many of us may never own a home. Even my studio is inside my rental apartment — I use a small electric kiln to fire my work. If that's the reality, then I believe beauty and art become even more essential — not for galleries, but for the spaces we actually live in.
That’s why I make small, functional things. Objects that are meant to be touched, used, moved around. I don’t believe in art that exists only in clean white rooms. My practice revolves around real spaces and daily life. Art, to me, only makes sense when it can live with us.
I work with ceramics and graphic art — not because I want to decorate clay with images, but because both are materials that can carry thoughts. I don’t reproduce reality; I abstract it. My graphic language is metaphorical. The colors I use are often non-traditional, and I’m constantly experimenting — sometimes with unusual chemical processes — to expand what ceramics can visually express.

I see graphic art as a way to digest the world — through distortion, repetition, and contradiction. I’m not interested in perfection or coherence. I’m drawn to images that feel slightly off, slightly too loud, or strangely quiet. That’s where meaning leaks out◼︎
My graphic language is playful, but not frivolous. I often use visual puns, unlikely compositions, or deliberate awkwardness — not to confuse, but to resist resolution. In a world overloaded with polished visuals, I prefer images that twitch, shift, or talk back◼︎
Postmodernism gave me the freedom to borrow without apologizing. But what matters to me is not the reference — it’s the friction between elements that shouldn’t belong together, but do. That tension becomes a kind of honesty◼︎
To me, graphic art isn’t about illustrating reality. It’s about bending it — just enough to see it differently◼︎
